Spreader - one piece - clip on 5 degrees - SAILSetc

One piece clip on aerofoil section spreaders, 11 mm x 60 mm x 5 degrees 

Spreader lengths quoted are for the distance from the centre of the mast to the outermost hole for the shroud. Shroud to shroud dimensions will be approximately twice those figures.

The unit is designed to be a clip on/clip off fit to the mast. This style of spreader avoids the need to drill holes in the mast and permits simple removal for de-rigging and re-positioning for rig tuning. The fore and aft angle (plan view) of the spreader bars to the mast is fixed giving repeatable rig trim. The spreader bars are tilted upwards going outboard from the mast and the aerofoil section is angled downwards to align well with the oncoming air flow.

The spreaders for 11 mm diameter masts are supplied with split pins that locate the shroud in the end of each spreader bar. This adaption allows the spreaders to be interchangeable and the spreaders bars to be shortened to any preferred length.
